Fast Food Franchise opens first restaurant in Qatar

Jollibee, the no 1 Filipino fast food franchise opportunity has announced that it will soon open its very first restaurant in Qatar. The store will be located in the Al Meera Consumer Goods Mall in Doha. The chain already owns over 700 stores across the USA, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Vietnam and of course the Philippines.

When the new restaurant opens, Qataris will be able to enjoy the brand’s quality food, service and exquisite hygiene for a modest price. The franchise plans to expand further into the international market, applying its tried and tested formula of delivering great-tasting food in a friendly environment that will certainly attract young families.

Ernesto Tanmantiong, Jollibee’s President, is excited about the expansion: "We are excited to bring Jollibee and its world-class delicious food offerings to Qatar. Being a family-oriented fast food chain, we will provide both Qatari and Filipino families alike with an alternative venue to enjoy each other's company over meal time. Opening our first store in Qatar marks a milestone for Jollibee, one that will hopefully lead to more stores in the near future."

Sunrise Trading and Food Stuff, run by Tariq Marzooq Al Shamlan, holds the Qatar franchise agreement for Jollibee. Al Shamlan is convinced that the fast food chain will be a success in Doha: "We are confident that Jollibee's great-tasting and affordable products like its chicken and burgers will also be a hit here in Qatar in the same way that it has continued to satisfy millions of customers in the Philippines and in other countries."

The food franchise’s popular mascot will announce the official opening by parading through the mall. To celebrate the event, consumers will also be given free mugs and t-shirts, and the first 100 customers will be treated with free Yumburgers, to familiarize Qatar with the new food.
